Do you want your portrait photo to really pop? We’ve got some tips for how to make sure that happens.
Before the shoot:
1) Find a photographer whose work you like, and talk with them about what you’re looking to achieve. You might even want to send them a few photos of things you like as inspiration.
2) Create a Pinterest board of looks you’re going for, or share some photos from magazines that inspire you, so your photographer has an idea of what you want to see.
3) Get plenty of sleep the night before! You don’t want to look all baggy-eyed in your photos. If you do have dark circles under your eyes, try putting on an eye mask the day before to help them look less prominent in the morning.
4) Make sure you get plenty of water, too, so your skin doesn’t look dry or flaky.
5) Eat healthy foods—you’ll feel better and be more comfortable when it’s time for your shoot.
Bonus tip: If possible, try to have a makeup artist and hairstylist on hand during the shoot. They can keep everything looking great while we’re shooting.
